Hey Folks,
Taking some inspiration from an article Jervis wrote in WD a some time back about painting groups, Krags has taken to organizing a regular painting session for club members, in order to improve our techniques and to talk trash during those hundreds of hours of painting.
‘Paint Station One’ is Krags tribute thread to the work of the regulars – a chance to show off the various projects of the group, and to try and encourage the best from those who attend. Updates and will be a real mix of work in progress, conversions and hopefully some painted minis from most of GW’s gaming systems. If all else fails, Krags post up some ‘previous endeavours' so you can see what we’ve managed to cobble together in the past…
This will take place on a Sunday afternoon at a club members house.( in order to lower the cost) this allows for a event Free for Krags and westgamer members. It will run with the same rules as club night and the shop will be in service....
With the purchase of some new terrian for the club we are doing to have a pianting session to get it ready for use.

Our first birthday
As Krags, comes to the close of the first year of operation I would like to say a big thank you to all those that have joined in the first year it has been great.
We have put on three tournaments in our first year two club challenges and a Battle fleet Gothic tournament. These where a great success. As well as out growing our first location. It started with Paul, Joel and Justin two months before we opened the doors. We then had Gary join; this formed our first executive committee.in the opening month we had

All sign up that was the start to a great club.
There where weeks when Paul and myself where the only players here on the night. Those weeks where hard thinking that we would not able to pay the bills. Some months we could not pay the bills without club member’s support.
But now we are a strong team of 30 plus players ready to take on the next year of gamming.
Over the last 12 months we also have had a change in the committee. With our chairman leaving in November we had a members meeting and elected a new committee.

BFG Fleet
Hi club members
KRAGS has the opportunity to purchase a club fleet.
we have been given a fleet to sell on consignment. this means we have time to pay off the purchase.
In order to do this we will be selling off the excess chaos fleet vessels to fund the purchase.
what dose that mean for you?
well the club members get the opportunity to purchase models to create or update there fleets. the money from this will then be put together and pay for the models.

By all reports it seems the Imperium wants something from the surface of Pentacad, with Space Marine strike forces from the Astral Claws, Space Wolves, Blood Angles and 2 unknown chapter and the New rebuilt 5th company of the Imperial Fist, They have also sent a Detachment of Imperial Guard to the surface.
Though it Seem not only does the imperium have an interest in this plant but several Xeno Races have been spotted making ground fall Including Tau and Eldar. Reports of a Giant asteroid hitting the surface also lead us to believe that Orks that plague the sector may also have made it to the ground. With all these forces now planet side only the emperor knows who else is already down there waiting. What is lurking in the dark corners of this once Imperial world?

February 4 is KRAGS 1st Birthday!

Feb 4th also See's the Start of the Warhammer 40,000 Escalation League-
Hey guys just a quick update as we are rapidly approaching the kick off date for this I would like to ask people if you can either PM, Email me or hand me (or Justin or Paul) your 500 point army list for validation Before the 25th of Feb. So I have at least a week to check everything. I'll take army builder files, typed up list and even sheets of paper (the sooner the better for hand written) with your list... Sadly for some I won’t accept your list if it comes written on toilet paper.
Please remember that your one off league entry payment of $12 per person or $10 if you're a Krags or Club WestGamer member, can be made on any Friday night leading up to the starting week (league starts formally on 4th February) (if you can’t make it down prior to the start please let me know so we can arrange payment on the first time your down to play.)
Note this one off payment (it all goes to into prizes for the league) is in addition to the regular door fees for attendance

April 17 Is KRAGS Twin Linked tournament pitting teams of 2 against each other in a fast paced action packed day of Warhammer 40,000.

Unending Battle lines
Date: Sunday – 20 February 2011
Time: Registration begins at 0830h
Location: Wellard Pavilion, Wellard (Map is on the last page)
Cost: $40.00 for all entrants,

This tournament will be played using the latest rules released prior to 1st February,
2011. For Warhammer Fantasy Battles 8th Edition this means:
1. Maximum size for armies is 2000 points.
2. Special Characters are allowed.
3. Warhammer Fantasy Battles 8th Edition and the latest printings of all army books.
4. Army books released up till 1st February 2011
5. All errata and all Games Workshop FAQ are in force.
6. all armies to be painted 3 colour, both model and base-( you do not have to paint it yourself just can not win painting award)
Comp for unending battle lines
1. no power scroll
2. 12 dice per magic phase cap.
3. Fleeing units less then one rank at the end of the game are considered dead this is based on your army book list. If your unit only needs 3 models to form a rank then you have 2 or less it is dead, if you require 5 models to from a rank the 4 or less is dead. (This excludes heroes and lords full points only if dead.)
This means if a unit has 2 models and a hero you will get the points for the unit but not the hero.
4. All 15+ spells are one successful use only. When successful you forget the spell for the remainder of the game.
Common table rules
1. Each table will have two pieces of mystious terran these will be marked the rules for the mysterious terrain will be in affect for only those pieces of terrain.
2. Each table will have a tower in the centre of table these are to remain there all tournament.
